ENTERTAINMENTS
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. The rovueis still a big "draw" at His Majesty's Theatre. Air. Paul Stanhope and party stage a very fine entertainment of the revue order, introducing graceful ballets, good songs, and plenty of fun. Tom Dawson, who sings "The Australian Sundowner, is also on the bill. Among other artists are Geo. Edwards and Rosie Parkes, who put on a diverting sketch. THE KING'S THEATRE. The great Wellington Carnival is being reproducedon the screen at the King's Theatre this week. The pioture shows the procession (both days), the crowds in the City and at the Park, the special athletic display by the Wellington firemen, the Queen candidates, and general subjects. The bill at the theatre includes also a very fine drama, entitled "The Attorney for the Defence." The supporting films are all good. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. The bill at Everybody's Theatre this week is headed by "The Swindler," a drama which aims at exposing the methods of the "bucket shop" men and revealing the kind of business they do. A film of educational value describes how a big newspaper is produced. The Keystone comedy for the week shows Fatty Arbuckle and Mabel Normand at the San Diego Exposition. Photos of the Carnival Queen candidates also are screened. THE EMPRESS THEATRE. Part 12 of Solid's sensational wild animal drama, "The Adventures of Kathlyn," will bo introduced with the new programme of the Empress Theatre continuous pictures to-day. In tftiis chapter of the story TJmballah, having caused the death of the King, jnstals himself as monarch until the legal heir to the throne is decided upon. The exalted position is offered to Colonel Hare, who declines the honour, but is thereupon arrested by order of TJmballah. Kathlyn is now asked to accept the throne, and agrees to be crowned Queen. The first thing she does is to order the release of her father. Then Kathlyn learns of the criminal act of TJmballah in causing the King's death, and orders his imprisonment. But the wily TJmballah escapes and takes a prominent part in thwarting Kathlyn and her people in the search for gold buried on the volcano island. In addition to the "star" film will also appear "A Bird is a. Bird" (Keystone comedy), "His Wedded Wife" "(Vita, drama), "DeepSaa Fishing" (Kalem "trick comedy), and "The Australian Gazette."
