LEVIN LAND BALLOT

♦ (By Tcligraph.—Press Association.) Levin, June 9. A ballot for sections in the Bartholomew Estate, Wereroa, purchased by the Government for closer settlement, took place this morning in the Levin Courthouse. The first section, twenty-nine acres, went to Mrs. C. Barclay, Woodville, out of ton applicants; the second section, six acres, to E. M. ITubner, Makino, out of five applicants; tlie third scction, nine acres, to C. W. Lankshear, Levin, out of four applicants. For the fourth section, twenty-nine acres, there were no applicants, 'fha fifth section, twelve acres, fell to Mrs. Mary Edmonds, Kongokokoko, out of tlireo applicants ; the sixth section, twelvo acres, to H. Cole, Levin, the only applicant.
