ALCOCK DINER TOURNAMENT. Only two games were played yesterday evening, the contestants being A. Longmore _ (received 10) and A. J. Bennett (received 120); H. Gotlieb received 100 and J. W. Carr (received 60). The winners were Longmore and Gotlieb. To-night, six games will be played, and some interesting contests are expected. One of the best of these will be that between Tucker, the heaviest penalise.„ Player, and Dr. Cockayne. Play will commenoe at 7 o'clock sharp. BOXING The Boxing Association has found it necessary to rearrange two of the three preliminaries set down for decision at the Town Hall to-morrow ovening, owing to Oliver and Curran meeting with slight injuries, which prevent them from participating. Oliver's place has been filled by N. Bennetts, of Trentham, one of the best-known featherweights in Auckland, and Curran's place is being taken by Desoond, who made a good impression at the la6t tournament. Both Tracy and Taylor report themselves as in good form, and everything points to the tournament being a most attractive one, which should materially assist the Wounded Soldiers' Fund..
