LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety aud Co., Ltd., Jfasterlon, report having hold their -weekly sale at Taratahi on Monday. There was a fair yarding of stock, which met with good competition, and realised the following prices:—Pat ewes, 19s. to 19s. 9d.; fat lambs, 14s. 3d. to 14s. IOd.M.S. lambs. shorn, 12s. 6d.: do., woolly, 125.; aged rams, lie. fid. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held a successful clearing sale o{ stock (in conjunction with Jfeesrs. Levin and Co.. Ltd.), on behalf of the Makerua Estate Company, in the saleyards, at- Shannon, on Tuesday. The stock came forward in good order and condition, and all lines were keenly competed for, bidding in most cases being very animated. The following prices were realised:—Forward cmpty ewes, 165.; fat and forward bullocks, £9 9s„ £11 75., £12 56., to £13 55.; fat cows.
£6 Is. to £8; forward cows, £4, £4 95., to £5 2s. 6d.; two-ye.tr steers, £4 Is., £5, £5 12s.' 6d.; store cows, £2 4s. to £3 eight - ecn-montlis empty heifers, £3; eiglueenmonths steers, £3 Is.; weancr steers. £1 to . 355. 6d.; woaner heifer (small). lSe. 6d.; two-year in-calf (small), £2 95., £2 lite.; unbroken draughts, £20, £20 10s., £36.; 'hfllf-draug-Uts, broken, £18 55., £18 10s., £22.
