AUCKLAND WINTER MEETING YORK WELTER WON BY HASKAYNE GOLDEN GLOW'S STEEPLECHASE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, June 7. The Auckland Racing Club's Winter Meeting concluded to-day in dry dull weather. The totalisator registered .£43,003 for the day, as against .£41,372 for the corresponding day last year, making .£128,070 foe the meeting, a* against ,£122,837 last year. There was not much change until the hill was reached the second time, when Torero and Waimai improved their positions, while Hasin, who was moving up from the back, toppled over at the first fence on the rise. Coming down the hill the last time Advancer held command from Tarero, while Fireaway was handy, and in the race to the post Advancer won by two lengths and a half from Fireaway, who was a length ahead of Tarero, with Waimai fourth. Dogger Bank, Wakanui, and Black Bobs were the early leaders over the hill the first time, and past the double ill , front of the stand, with Lady Sabretache handy and pulling hard. She ran up to Dogger Bank round tho back, but Dogger Bank hung on to his position up the hill the last time. The pair had the race to themselves from the top of the hill, and once over the last fence Dogger ' Bank's superior pace won him the race by two lengths, with Black.
