Local ihotelkeepers this evening handed to the secretary of the Patriotic Committee a cheque for £500 as a contribution to the National Fund foi our sick and wounded. The Wanganui Jockey Club handed in a cheque for £300, bringing the Club's contributions to patriotic funds to wel over £1000.
