MAGISTRATE'S COURT

♦ A sitting of the Magistrate's Court, was held yesterday morning before Captain R. Hennah and Mr. R. D. Hanlou, J.P.'s. John Redmond O'Donoghue admitted breaking a pane of in the house of John M'Nainara at Ngaliauranga. He was ordered to pay 155., the value of the broken window, in default 48 hours' gaol. William Craig was fined 10s., in default 48 hours' imprisonment, for drunkenness, and lined £3, in default 14 days' gaol for using obscene language. For drunkenness, Thomas Watson Was fined 10s., or hours' imprisonment. Five first offending inebriates were dealt with, and another convicted and banded over to the military authorities.
