SUMMARY AND FORECAST

Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly and south-easterly winds, equally at times between East Capo and' Kaikoura. Gold ajid showery conditions are probable in. the northern and East Coast portions of the North Island, but improving shortly, and fair to cloudy weather is likely to prevail elsewhere. The barometer has a further rising tendency, especially in the north. The weather has been' generally unsettled over the North Island, with showefS in man/ parts, but fair in the 6outh, although cloudy and foggy occasionally along the E»st Coast.
