LONDON TRAMWAY STRIKE COLLATES
SETTLEMENT OF GRIEVANCES IN VIEW. > By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright
London, May 30. The County Council has undertaken to expedite a settlement of the tramway grievances. It- will not allow men of military age to resume work.
The striko, which was for a war bonus, has collapsed. Two thousand of the men liavo l'ound employment elsewhere, a few havu enlisted in the Army, 12,000 have enrolled as motor transport drivers, while others are engaged at the Woolwich and the Enfield armament works.
MOTS BY STRIKERS. (Rec. May 31, 10.15 p.m.) London, May 31. A number of London tramway strikers indulged in rioting, and wrecked several cars in Holloway. Work has only been partially resumed. The bulk of tlio men will remain out unless the military ago exclusion is rescinded. [The Tramway Company has intimated tliat strikers of military age will not be taken in again. 1
