A SUBSTANTIAL DONATION
BUILDING SOCIETY'S GIFT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, .May 31. Last week _at the annual meeting of tlio Terminating Building Society it was proposed that £450 bo donated to the Hospital Ship Fund, but an amendment, moved by Mr. John Tayne, M.l'., that the amount be reduced to 2J<l., was carried by 75 votes to 64. To-night the directors of the society considered the matter I'nlly. and finally voted £'l") 0 li> the Hospital Ship.
