ALCOCK'S DINER TOURNAMENT.
Last night four games were played— two in A and two in B sections. In. 1 section, Fraser (owes 50) beat Hemingway (receives 60). Both men played "well, especially Fraser, who at times scored exceptionally difficult shots. The "sotto voce" remarks of Mr. Hemmingway on various occasions, when he failed in his exceedingly line losing hazards, afforded a great deal of entertainment to the onlookers. The best breaks of the winner were 25, 27, and 29 (unfinished). In the same section Keils (owes 25) contested with W. L. Nees (scratch), Hells proving altogether the better exponent, winning rather comfortably. His best efforts were 2S and 60. . In B section, Bradley (received 30) secured an easy win over Hempton (received 75), and A. P. Brown (scratch) put up a similar performance against W. Smith (received 100). The players to-night are: —A section, Bolton and Lockwood, Porter and Porteous; B section, Croll and Mills, and two others.
