WINGATUI TRACK WORK.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, May 29. Soma interesting work took place at Wingatui this morning, most of it on the plough gallop, which was ju good order but a bit dead, llount Victoria and Koumania. commenced operations by a sixfurlong gallop on 'the outside of tiie course proper. They commenced from a slow start, and ran in lmin. 25 4-ose<j., with Mount Victoria easily master of the situation. He is shaping well, and good behaviour at the barrier should find him running dangerously at the meeting. John Barleycorn was travelling comfortably at the end of a mile with Ogier in limn. 49 3-ssec. The last-mentioned had to be ridden out to keep up. Lion and Afton Loch were to go five furlongs, but the first-named bolted and ran the distance in lmin. 5 4-ssec. The mare was travelling fairly close to the rail, and ran the distance in lmin. 5 1-5 sec. Spc-cialform was ridden out to beat Golden King at the end of a mile in lmin. 47 1-osec. Firmhold ran the last live of six furlongs in lmin. 6 l-ssec. Alicky Tree strode over a mile in lmin. 5" 2-osec., and appears to be improving. Moonglow, who looks bigger and stronger than his trainer has ever had him before, ran live furlongs in lmin. ssec. United Servico worked comfortably over the same ground in lmin. 11 2-ssec. Pride of Clutha and Cortes ran six furlongs in lmin. 19sec., the last five taking lmin. Csec. The mare was travelling nicely throughout, aand was finishing well. Waipunui began slowly, but finished better than Hornbeam and Aerogram at the end of six furlongs in lmin. 20 3-ssec. Redowa dashed over half 'a mile on the plough in 51 2-53ec. ' Spanish Prinoess began ait the seven furlong posit on the course proper, and came lioue in lmin. SBseo., the last six furlongs taking lmin. 21 3-saeo, Kim and Lord Frederiok took a turn ore the sohooling hurdles, and both shaped well. Kim did not charge his fence? as he is sometimes inclined to do, and if he continues to fence in this manner, he should stay better in his racoa. Tolstoi and Prairie Grass were outjumping and outpacing the Kulnine gelding in Christie's stables in a round over the schooling fences. The two first-named jumped well. Stone Ginger and Cardiff set out for a round, but after doing well along the back -the latter chanced the low sod wall forming the first stand treble, and fell heavily. P. "Willis, who had the mount, escaped from a nasty-looking toss, and afterwards rode Tommy. Cardiff and Stone Ginger (who did not jump too well) afterwards worked a circuit on the grass. Tetua and The Brewer outpaced and outjumped Tommy in a round over the fences, although ithe last-named cut out a couple of jumps to get on terms with the others. Others out during the morning included Simon Pure, Firegod, Royal Medal, Northern, Russo, Ghent, Zingabee, Lady Trent, King Torrent, Grafton, Laddie, Baritone, Wild Pilgrim, St. Aid an, Bon, Leading Lady, Cyra, Sister Radius, Neuroma, and Canstep.
