There has been a general development in. all classes of farming lands between i'almerston North and Wellington, but in no place is it more noticeable than at and around Te Horo. The township of 'l'e Jioro has been laid out and extensively built upon and numerous farm homesteads have been erected in every, direction, -md more aro under way, and many more to be erected. This development only started five years ago, and will no doubt bo maintained for many years to corno A new co-operative farmers' cheese factory will be erected, ready for use for the coming season. A further impetus to development will be given by the subdivision of the late Herbert Hodge's estate of 1000 acres, which has been subdivided into nine good dairy farms, and will be offered for salo by public auction at Otaki on June 9 on very easy terms. Pull particulars can be seen in the advertisement inserted by Messrs. Abraham and Williams on page 10.
