The week's unsatisfactory news has increased the demand for national serVl< Lord Sydenham, Mr. Frederic Harrison, several headmasters of public schools, and others advocate national service from various standpoints. •It is estimated that there are eipht million men of military age in tha United Kingdom. BELGIANS IN BRITAIN SUMMONED. (Re. May 29, 6.15 p.m.) London, May 28. All Belgian males in Britain, aged eighteen, are to enrol before June 20.— ("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.)
