ENORMOUS FIRES SEEN AFTER
Paris, May 28. Further particulars of tlio exploits of tlie French air squadron which raided. Ludwigshafen show that the airmen dropped forty-nine projectiles on the Ludwigshafen explosive factory, and thirty-six on a factory at Oppau, a mile and three-quarters away. There were enormous fires, and yellow smoke was seen in CTeat masses, which enshrouded Ludwigshafen and Oppau, All the aeroplanes returnod except one, whioh apparently was hit, and descended normally. The machine buret into flamos, and it is believed the occupants burnt it- to prevent the Germans securing it. Luclwigshafen is one of the largest manufactories of chlorine.
