NATIONAL RESERVE
At last Friday evening's parade of B Company, No. 1 Regiment (Wellington East Subdivison), there was a muster of over 90, including a numerous squad of recently-joined recruits, who are progressing splendidly. _ The more experienced members had rifles served out to them, and considerable advance was made with the rifle exercises._ It would be an advantage to al] if the members of the company as a whole, numbering now some 150 or over, would strain every point to put in an appearance at the regular parades. Casual attendance on the part of the few must keep the main body back in knowledge, and practice, of drill. Major Veitch was present, with Captain Cupli and Lieutenant Jones, Captain Cupli drilling the company as such. The miniature rifle match with the_ Gas Company's team is well in train.
