FIRES
SAWMILL DESTROYED. (By Telegiapli.—Press Association.) Auckland, May 30. An old sawmill formerly used by the Parker. Lamb Timber Company, was gutted by fire on Saturday afternoon. The whole of the contents were destroyed, including a steam-engine and a suc-tion-gas engine. The building was owned by Macklow Bros. The damage is estimated at about £500. There is only one insurance of £100 on the building, in the New Zealand office. It is not known whether' the contents were insured.
