Sailed.—Monowai (3.40 p.m.), for Auckland, via way ports. EANGATIRA DUB TO-DAT. The Rangatira is due here from St. John via Auckland at about noon to-day. After discharging the local portion of her cargo the vessel will sail about Monday for southern ports to discharge the balance of her merchandise. The Rangatira sails finally for London at a later date. The vessel loaded frozen moat and other cargo for London at Auckland. THE SYDNEY-AUCKLAND SERVICE. As the Union Company's «team«r Moieno ha 6 been withdrawn from the AucklandBydney service for use as a hospital ship, there will be no steamer arriving there from Sydney to-morrow. The Makura, due from Vancouver on Sunday, will sail for Sydney at 9 a.m. on Monday, and will carry New Zealand passengers at the ordinary intercolonial rates. ■ The next passenger steamer to arrive at Auckland from Sydney will be the Riverina, on Monday; June 7, while the Makura will return, on Monday. June 14. WESTRALIA DUE DAYLIGHT TUESDAY. Next week's Sydney boat, the HuddartParker steamer Westralia, left, the New South Wales port at 12.30 p.m on Thursday. • She should arrive here at daylight on Tuesday. She ha 6on obard 94 passen- i gors. and about 1000 tons of general cargo' for Wellington and southern ports. As Thursday is the King's Birthday, the Westralia will not leave here on the return journey until the foUowing day. CARRIAGE OF FROZEN MEAT. Referring to the statement in yesterday's issue to the effect that.certain Shaw, Sarill and Albion Company's steamers might be diverted to the River Plate, trade within the next few months, the local office of this company state that if any 6uch diversion is ultimately decided ' upon in London, it must bo at the desire of and with the full authority and sanction of the Imperial Government, who have requisitioned . all (insulated steamers. It is understood that if any steamers be diverted. they would be available in New Zealand for the early part of neit meat son. MESS-TABLE GOS.SIP. . Mr. R. Alexander, late wireless operator on the Moana, has signed on the Wahina in a similar capacity. Mr. J. Maylen has signed on the Kaitoa a 6 first mate. Mr. Reeves came up from Dunedin as chief officer of the Tarawera, vice Mr. Journay, who is joining tho Reinforcemente. Mr. H. C. Watts joined tho Waihora at Timaru as chief steward. Mr. W. Dalton joined the Poherua at Lyttelton as chief steward. The Ngatoro. which left Wellington on Friday night for Bluff, should arrive back here about Wednesday with a load of produce.
The Waverley is due from Puponga today with a. load of coal. Sho will probably return there the same day. The Manuka, and Mokoia sail at noon to-day, the former for Sydney direct and tie latter for Hobart and Melbourne.
Tho Government steamer Hinomoa, finished her work at Cape Pallieer yesterday, Sho will coal to-day and leave on Monday to finish her' work in Cook Strait.
The steamer Bonvick Law, from New York, nrrivcd at Lyttelton yesterday. Tho vessel will subsequently proceed to Dunedin, where she will discharge about 1150 tons of cargo. Later she proceeds to Sydney to complete discharge. The Union Company's Kauri arrived at Lyttelton on Thursday from Newcastle ■with a cargo of coal. The vessel subsequently goes to Timaru, where she will load produce for Timaru. The Hauroto, which is undergoing overhaul and survey at Auckland preparatory to leaving for Sydney and Hong-kong, was placed in CeJliopo Dock on Wednesday for cleaning and painting. It is probable that • the Awahou, which left Wellington on Thursday night with a load of kerosene (ex Cape Hnisterre), for Foxton, will after discharge at that port proceed to Greyanonth to load coal for Wanganui. The Mamari haß been delayed at Port Chalmers by heavy rain. She will probably arrive here about June 5, and l«,ve finally for London on June 9. The coastal steamer Aorere is due hero on Sunday from Patca. On Monday she will probably-' go on, the Slip for her annual overhaul and inspection.
