Last.week'B shipment of Barotongan fruits arrived in very, good order generally, and met a very ready demand at lato rates. Sydney shipments are on the increase, this week's steamer landing a fair consignment of mandarins, pineapples, and passion fruit, which sold well. Supplies of local apples awl pears continue to come to hand in good quantities, but the bulk of the fruit arriving is of tho inferior grades, making first-class samples a payable item. Cabbages and cauliflower are in very heavy supply just now, while carrots and parsnips are selling at lower values than those last reported, with pumpkins, marrows, aud most hard vegetables firmer in price. Fresh and preserved" eggs are selling freely at lato 1 values. The potato market, at the time of writing, is rather unsettled, very heavy inquiries arriving from Australia.' Onions are unchanged.
