HARBOUR AFFAIRS
MEETING OF THE BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was held, last night. There were present: —Messrs. C. E. Daniell (chairman), C. W Jones, H. L. Nathan, J. G. llarkness, W. Cable, A. 11. llindinarsh, Jl. Cohen, 1!.. 15. Sinclair, A. MaoFarlane, J. 11. Cobbe, R. A. Wright, J. W. M'Ewan, R. Fletcher, and Captain D. J. Watson. Tho bank pass-books showed a credit balance to current account of £38,946, to imprest account £1423, aud on fixed deposit £60,000. The total payments wore £14,428. • It, was dceided to approach the Otago, Lyttclton, and Auckland Harbour Boards with a vicv to making joint representations to the general Government regarding payment of harbour dues on transports carrying freight.
