MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of tho Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union was held last night, Mr. D. D. Weir presiding. A suggestion was received from tho executive of the Sports Committee (support Nurse Everitt for tho Carnival Quceu) that their ladies' sub-coru-mittco had secured the services of twenty-two lady football players, who were desirous of playing a match as a curtain-raiser or to take place at the interval of Saturday's big match at Athlctic Park. Tho suggestion was taken up with enthusiasm, and it was decided that the game bo played, at the interval of next Saturday's fixture at Athletic Park. As suggested by the Sports Committee ; the match is to consist of two fire-minute spells, the ladies to play in black and white jerseys and short skirts. A lady referee is to control the. match. Permission was granted to the Berhampore Club to send a team to Palmerston North on June 3, and to St. James to visit Christchurch. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES. Saturday's fixtures wero approved of I as follow:— Selwyn v. Trentham B, at Athletic Park No. 1. Poneke v. Trentham C, at Athletic Park No. 2. Oriental v. Petone, at Petone. Wellington v. Trentham A, at Trentham. University v. Athletic, at Lower Hutt. The "Dally M" Football and Hockey Boot, very light, with patent steel spring; black and white chrouio. " Price, 16s.' (id. and 17s.
