The Brooklyn School Committee has asked the Wellington Education Board to facilitate a greater supply of free Koliool books to children. Yesterday they sent a letter to tile hoard advocating free hooks. The chairman of tho board (the Hon. J. f!. AV. .Aitken) remarked that the remedy (if snch it should be called) lay in an alteration of the Act. for the Brooklyn School received the same treatment as other schools did. and 110 change could be effected without a. change in the statute.
