JUMP FROM A MOVING TRAIN. •. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) • Tlmaru, May '21. Last evening a youth., an escape© from Bunihamj. who was being taken back from Invercargill 011 the second express in charge of a constable, leapt from the train between Timaru and Smithfield. When the train roached Temuka the police at Timara were apprised, and they went out expecting to find a man lying injured, but saw nothing of him. To-day it was ascertained that the young' man called at a house somo little distance from the lino. He said he had fallen from the train and was given refreshments, and his wounds dressed. He appeared to have broken an arm and his face was cut. Tho search was proceeding all day.
