THE NEW INDUSTRY.
The proprietors of tho Dominion Costume Stand Co. havo been manufacturing costume stands in England and Australia for a number of years, and recognising that tbere is a. big field for their class of business in New Zealand, they have started manufacturing here. This firm claim to make for any lady a costume stand that is an exact likeness of her own figure, thus enabling her to make her frocks and costumes in her own home. 13y so doing, it is urged, she will bo able to have at least three dresses to her present-day one, and yet they will ba finished and made fit as perfect as the best professional dressmaker can do. The Wellington Technical College is being supplied with costume stands by this firm, for the purposo of teaching the students dressmaking. The goods are manufactured solely by New Zealand labour and with New Zealand materials.
