MASTERTON NOTES
A man named Arthur Lawrence was handling a poa-rillo when tlio weapon was discharged, and tlio bullet penetrated bis groin. He has boon admitted to tho Jlastorton Hospital, whero tbo bullet was 'located, and bo is progressing satisfactorily. The Masterton Chamber of Comnierco decided to-day to support tho Wellington and Canterbury Chambers in tho proposal to hold a conference of Chambers to discuss mattors affcctiug commercial interests. A meeting is to be held here on Saturday to form sub-committees of tlio Wellington Acclimatisation Society, in order to secure bettor trcatmont for the district in tbo matter of tlio disribution of trout fry.
