AN APPRECIATION
GOVERNOR WRITES TO MESSRS. PLIMMER AND HALL. In connection with the tour of New Zealand of the Plimmer-Hall Patriotio Comedy Company, which concludes about a fortnight henco in the south, His Excellency the Govornor has forwarded the following expression of his appreciation of the praiseworthy effort of Messrs. Harry Plimmer and Winter Hall to raise money for patriotic purposes : —
"Auckland, May 15, 1915. "Dear Sir, —I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the Governor desires to place on record his appreciation of the gonerous and patriotic action of Messrs. Plimmer and Hall in undertaking their recent successful theatrical tour of New Zealand in aid of the Belgian Fund. Their Excellencies have greatly enjoyed the various performances which they have had tho pleasure of witnessing, and desire to convev their best wishes for the renewed success of tho efforts of the company on behalf of the New Zealand patriotic funds.—Yours faiithfully, (Sgd.)
