London, April 15. Mrs. H. Hamer has returned from St. Leonards much improved in health, Mr. and Mrs. Alee K. AVatson expect to return to England, after their trip to Egypt, next week, Mr. R. T. Grace, of AVellington, who has been in London for some little time, goes to Scotland this week. . Lieutenant-Colonel Macdonald, of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, who was invalided here from Egypt, is at present in Guy's Hospital suffering from gastric trouble. News has been received from his son, Mr. A. Shepherd, of the death of Mr. Forbes Shepherd at Tottenham last week, from pneumonia. Callers at the High Commissioner's offices last week included Miss Kathleen Cressivell, Christchurch; Miss Esme Malcolm, Christchurch; Mr. AVm. Gilbert Eldred, Christchurch; Mr. Elwin Monson, Napier; Mrs. Bertha Flintan, Papanui; Air. E. Cloudesley, Linwood; Miss A. Miller, Christchurch; Mr. S. C. O'Leary, AVellington; Mr. G. Price, Palmerston North; Rev. A. Hardie, Dunedin; Mrs. Godfrey Burrell, Marlborough ; Dr. Guy Hallwright, Westport; Dr. H. D. Robertson, AVellington; Mr. N. M. Olsen, AVellington; and Mr. E. M. Jones, Gisborne.
