BILLIARDS Several moro games in the Alcock Billiard Diner Tournament wore played last night. The first was between Mossrs. Goldie (received 100) and Player (received 110), and was won b}' the latter by a comfortable margin. Post (received 100) beat Slieehy (received 25) by a somewhat small margin. The winner is abont 13 j'ears of age. In order to play this match he cycled into town yesterday from Masterton. Jacobsen (scr.) and De Latour (scr.) next went to the tables, and played what was easily the best billiards yet seen in the tournament. The former picked np the strength very quickly, and his potting seldom failed. De Latour was not so fortunate, but when the game w-as well on lie gavo ample evidence of skill. Jacobsen, who won, made the following breaks over twenty—44, 21, 23, 25, 23, and 27. The last game was between Billman (rec. 25) and Hart (rec. 30). The latter played consistently, and won his gam© by 73 points. No further games will bo played until Monday next, when the following will meetWatkins and Portcous; Post and Nagel; Turner and Reado; Bucholz and Buddie.
