AN ELECTRIC LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED

ANOTHER MAN INJURED. (By Telecranh— Press Association,) j- Christohureh, May 18.' Early this afternoon two aerial linesmen belonging to the City Council Electrical Department, wliile working on overhead wires in Malcolm Avenue, Fislierton, received the full force of the current, the result being that one, F. iWilliams, was killed outright, and the other, Frank Donnelly, was injured.

The accident, was duo to a short circuit, caused by a wet ladder then being moved by two men, coming in contact with tho Lake Coleridge high tension wire. The ladder, a wooden 0110, had become very wet by the rain, and so acted as a conductor of tho current-. The top end touched a live high tension wire, and tho currant ran down the ladder and electrocuted Williams instantly. Donnelly's injuries were not- very Borious.
