SWIMMING
THORNDON CLTJB REUNION. ■Sir. T. Ronayne presided at the animal reunion of the Tborndon Amateur Swimming Club last night. The gathering. took place in the Burlington Tea Booms,, about 90 members and friends fieing present. < During the evening the president presented tho Walker and Hall Cup, which was won by the Tborndon team at the ■Wellington Centre's-carnival. The following comprised the team: —Messrs. Roberts, C. B. Sinton, C. Brice, C. Sheehy, and J. ' Thomas. iOther prizes were presented to F. Roberts £®ard Clip), J. Garrett, W. O'Meara.
J. Wiokens, W.-R. King, C. Sheeby, H. Desmond, F. Desmond, C. Desmond, C. Neal, G. Saunders, S. Shearer, A. W. Smith, J. D. Burns, and A. R. George. The following toasts were honoured: — "The King"; "President, Vice-Presi-dent, and Friends," proposed by Mr. A. W. Smith; ''Soldiers of the King," Mr. H. W. Harris; "Kindred Clubs and Sports," Mr. R. Nelson; "The Centre," Mr. F. R. Webster. A capital, programme of 60ng and story included items contributed by Messrs. Laslett Exton, Ernest Luks, —. Alwright, E. Donovan, —. Hutchison, Fraser Thompson ,aud —. Spencer. Mr; HR. C. W. Blick was the accompanist.
