JOTTINGS FROM PROVINCIAL CENTRES.
(From Our Special Correspondent!.) NAPIER. The Napier Branch of the New Zealand National Reserve now has a membership of 350, and includes the local branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. 1
Mr. Callender,' Assistant-Town Clerk at Hastings, has been accepted for active service and the Borough Council have granted him half-pay during his absence.
The St. John Ambulance Brigade has received subscriptions amounting to £112 towards a hospital at the front. Tho latest donations include: G. S. V, Wenley, £10; Mrs. J. H. -Matthews, Tikokino, £10 10s. ;'G. M. B. Russell, Tunanui, £10.
. The Hawke's Bay Branch of the British Medical Association has elected the following officers for the ensuing year: President, Dr. Bernau; vice-president, Dr. Barcroft; secretary and treasurer, Dr. Henley; committee, Drs. Dawson, Edgar, Gilray, Veitch, Tosswill, and! Wilson.
