DEMANDS FOR COMING YEAR
Statements showing the estimated expenditure on accouut of capital and other expenditure, and a statement showing the apportionment on the contributory local authorities, and tho amount of subsidy to be claimed thereon in respect of such expenditure,, were placed before the meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board yesterday.
The summary of estimated' receipts and expenditure for tho year ending March 31, 1016, was as follows:—
. Expenditure.—Hospitals, £47,574; charitable aid, £13,850; administration, £2938. Total, £64,362.
Receipts.—Hospitals, £16,225 ; charitable aid, £1980; head oiHce, £403; assets over liabilities as at March. 31, 1915, £692. Total, ,£19,300. Debit balance, £45,062.
Apportionment and Subsidy.—Levieß, £24,815: subsidy from Government,' £20,247.' Total, £45,062.
Statement r s to the apportionment of expenditure among contributory local authorities, and the payment of subsidy thereon furnished by tho Hospital and Cl'.aritablo Aid Board in accordance with the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and regulations thereunder.
Capital Expenditure—Estimated capital expenditure for year ending March 31, 1916, £6016; less estimated receipts on account of capital expenditure, vide Section 41 (4) of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, £5100; not estimated capital expenditure, £916; amount.of capital expenditure apportioned amongst contributory local authorities, £458; amount of subsidy which will be claimed at £ for £, £458; total (to agree with jiett capital expenditure), £916. Other Expenditure.—Estimated expenditure other than capital expenditure for the year ending March 31, 1916, £58,346; less estimated receipts on accouut of "other expenditure" vide Section 41 (4) of tho Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, £14,200; nett estimated other expenditure, £44,146; amount apportioned among contributory local authorities, £24,357; amount of subsidy which will bo claimed at 16s 3d. in the £ vide 4th schedule of Act, £19,789; total (to agree with net estimated "other expenditure"), £44,1-16. Estimated capital expenditure for the year ending March 31, 191G: — Hospitals.—Kitchen Block, £3200; direct current electric power, £150; dental outfit, £100; D. T. Ward, £180; store-room and garage, £650; ward sick nurses, £1250; electric lift general hospital, £240; intercom, telephones, £170 ; not water service Ot-aki Sanatorium, £76. Hospitals.—Wellington and Otaki, £38,909; Otaki Sanatorium, £2649. Total, £41,558.
Charitable Aid. —Ohiro Home, £3250; industrial schools, £6450; outdoor relief, £3250 maintenance children special £3FO; mcdical services, £100; painting exterior home, £250; contingencies', £170. Total, £13,850. ' Administration, £2933; gross other expenditure, £58,436. Estimated receipts on account of other expenditure for the year ending March 31. 1916:
Hospitals.—Wellington and 1 Otaki, £10,825; Otaki Sanatorium, £300.
Charitable Aid.—Ohiro Home and outdoor relief, £1980 Administration, £403. Total, £13,508, leaving £44,838. Assets over liabilities, March 31, 1915, £692. Net other expenditure, £44,140. Levy on Contributory Bodies. Apportionment to raise the sum of £24.815 required by the board from the undermentioned local authorities liable for the same.
