HOSPITAL DAIRY FARM
PRICE TO BE RAISED TO £9000. The proposed purchase of a. dairy farm ■ was before the meeting' of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board yesterday in a letter from Messrs. Stanley and Meadows; stating that they could not extend the ontion on tho Mangaroa Farm, to -purchase at £8500, beyond May 31. After that datft tils price would be £9000.
Without discussion it was decided to' let the letter lie on the table.
An invitation to inspect the Weroroa Experiment Farm was received from the manager, and it was dccided to allow the letter to stand over till next meeting.
Several, letters from contributing local bodies were, received, and it was decided_ to hold the letters over till next meeting, to allow all the replies to come in. The local bodies have been p:iven till next week to place their views before the board.
' Mr. B. R. Gardener .gave noticc to move tho following motion at next meeting: "That the motions relating to the purchase of the Mangaroa Farm he rescinded, and that the whole question of purchasing a dairv farm for the milk supply the Wellington Hosnital and its institutions bo reconsidered."
