LIVE STOCK SALES
STossrc. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd.. report having held their weekly Eale in their Waipoua (Maaterton) eale yards on Wednesday. A yarding as advertised camo forward, and competition was animated throuciiout the sale. Wit.li the exception of one pen o£ 30 lambs the whole sheen entry was sold. The cattle entry -was as advertised, but competition -was not keen except for Mr. H. H. Ryder's entry, which tv os very keenly competed for. The eighteen-month steers fetched £5 25., and eighteen-month heifers, £3 10s. The followin? are prices realised:—Fat wethers and ewes, 225. 6d.; fat wethers, 21e. 6d.; fat ewes, 21s. 7d.; fat lambs, 14a. £d., 16s. 2il„ to 17s. 3d.; for b.f. lambs, lie. lOd. to 155.; for shorn lambs, lis. Bd. to 12s. 4d.; store lambs, 9s. 4d. to 10s. 3d.; two-tooth wethers, 18s. 3il. to 195.; store ewes. 14s. lOd.;'cull cwei, ss. Id.; tvro-tooth to f.m. Komney owes in lamb, £2 2a. Cattle; Bprinjing cows on drop, -€7 10s. to £8; dairy cows in calf, due spring, £2 10s.; forward cows, £4 175.; eighteen-month eteoiT. £5 25.; eighteen-month heifers, £2 10s.. to £i 10s.; yearling steers, £3 ss.
