SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
At the Sailors' Friend Society last night a programme was provided by Mrs. Stark and party. . Various competitions were held during the evening. Reference was made by the Missioner, Mr. Moore, to the casualties suffered by the New Zealand troops, and sympathy was expressed, and a motion of detestation in regard to the sinking of the Lusitania was moved and seconded. At the close a vote of thanks was tendered to the performers, and responded to by Mrs. Stark, The following were the porformors: Mrs. Stark, Misses Halliburton, Chapman, Messrs. Stark, Bryant. Miss Bell-worthy was the accompanist.
