SPREADING FALSE NEWS
CERISTCHURCH MAN CHARGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Chrlstchurch, May 11. In the Court to-day W. Sigglekow was charged, with having on May 1 at Christchurch spread a false report by stating that the "Ist, 2nd, and. 3rd contingents have been practically Tviped out. There will be a- special edition at 9 o'clock"—such statement being likely to prejudice recruiting. A remand to May 19 was granted to allow accused to prepare his defence.
