LADIES' HOCKEY
THE SEASON OPENED. The ladies' hockey season was successfully opened at Karori Park cn Saturday. There were two senior games, one of which was decidedly interesting. The other, _ however, although serving to introduce a new team, was a bit "off colour." UNIVERSITY—RAMBLERS. Last season's champions met defeat at the hands of University, after a comparatively fast and decidedly interesting game. In the first spell University scored three goals. The game in the second spell was m6re even, and Ramblers succeeded in netting one goal. There was no other score, the game finishing: University, 3; Ramblers, 1. Mr. G. Kealls was the referee. RAMBLERS B—HUATAKI. The game between Ramblers B and Huataki was -uninteresting, and after much indiscriminate stick waving it ended without either side scoring. Mr. G. Carver was the referee. JUNIOR. Girls' College A (1) beat University (0). Miss M. Alexander scored. Technical College suffered defeat at. the hands of Ramblers, the scoros being I—o. Te Aro (4) defeated Girls' College ;1). Miss Butts (2)_ and Miss 6. Low (2) scored for the winners, and Miss E, Grey for College.
