AUSTRO-GERMAN TROOPS MOVING PESSIMISTIC VIEW IN BERLIN Rome, May 7. The Government has suppressed the running of forty passenger trains on the great lines, alleging a difficulty in securing coal. ] Austro-German troops, with artillery and ammunition, are hurrying to Trieste. German troops are waiting to be conveyed to Bosnia and Dalmatia. The Vatican has directed German and Austrian members of religious orders and theological students to leave Rome. German and Austrian journalists have already left. KAISER'S ATTEMPT TO "BULL-DOZE" ITALY. Rome, May 7. The Kaiser has telegraphed to Prince von Bulow, the German Ambassador, that the English troops are useless, that the Russians during the nest fortnight will be expelled from Galicia, and that a great German army will be sent against Italy if she dares to move. REPORTED POSSIBILITY OF ACCORD WHOLE QUESTION CENTRES UPON TRIESTE. , . London, May 7. A Rome message says that it is stated in official circles that there is a possibility of Austro-Italian accord This is probably due to the fact that Austria is realising that Italy is determined to intervene and secure those territories which Italians inhabit. The differences now concern the next territory to be handed over. The greatest obstacle is the claim for the cession of Trieste. Prince von Bulow declares that if he could induce Baron Sonnino (Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs) to relinquish the claim to Trieste, and Trieste would. accept the constitution of a free city, agreement might be reached in a short time. The "Lokal Anzeiger" takes a pessimistic view, and sa.vs Germany must reckon on momentous news from Rome, but can await with calmness Italy's decision. A Berlin message says that negotiations between Greece and the Entente have been temporarily interrupted.
