ME. ROOSEVELT ON UNITED STATES WAR POLICY. (Rec. May 7, 7.-10 p.m.) Paris, May 7. The "TempsV' American correspondent has had an interview with Mr. Roosevelt, who said: "If I had been President I would have protested against tho violation of Belgium, and asked the United States to take her placo with the Allies. Perhaps thatwould have prevented war. Even when tho Germans were before Liege they would have had tinio to reflect."
