LOOTING OFFENCES IN GERMAN NEW GUINEA
SENTENCES REMITTED Melbourne, May 7. The sentences passed on three members of tho New Guinea Expeditionary Force, who received three years each in connection with alleged looting, have been remitted. Similar sentences on two others have been reduced to nine nlonths' imprisonment each, and in tho sixth case the sentence has been reduced from four years to one year.
