NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW
The dates for. the National Dairy Show aro announced in our advertising columns. It will be tho twelfth of the series. The progress of tho National Dairy Show has been phenomenal. From a very small venture some elevenyears ago the fixture has attained a sizo and importance unequalled we believe, in Australasia. It lasts four days, v/hicli is all too short a time to serve tho many and varied interests that congregate thereat. Tho annual meeting and conference of tho National Dairy Association attracts a very large number of tho dairying fraternity to tho ehow, as the meetings are held £11 tho spacious Lecture Hall oil the grounds. Additional to those important fixtures tho New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association holds' its annual meetsing and conference, and various livo \stock breeders' societies seize the opportunity to foregather. Tho Department of Agriculture makes a magnificent display on which DepartnientaJ experts are in attendance for the purpose of imparting information to inquirers. The Manawatu Poultry _ Association s annual exhibition is hold in conjunction with tho National Dairy Show, and this, .'being one of the leading fixtures in 4ho poultry world, so far as Now Zeailand ss concerned, always attracts.nuonerous visitors and keen competition ■amongst fanciers. Tho leading features of the show comprise dairy factory but- . ter, choese, fruit, roots, vegetables, lioney, grain, grass-seeds, farm pro"'ducts, photography, art nedlework, ana liome industries. Outside amusements •are to he very well provided for—they 'iucludo school sports, football matches, hunters and pony competitions, m addition to the usual side shows.
