ST. PETER'S CHURCH
In his address at the annual meeting of St. Peter's Church on Friday, the vicar, the Ten. Archdeacon C. C. Harper, stated that the general position of things in the parish just now was batter than it had been for some time. The position _of the. Sunday Schools was very satisfactory, and the teachers were doing a really wonderful work. Referring to the choir, the speaker mentioned the departure of Dr. Fyffe, who, he said, had been able to put such sympathy into ordinary (ttsalms and hymns) music which made it almost unique. An average ,of at least £15 per week was necessary. At the beginning of the year, the offertories had caused some anxiety..
The. annual report of the' choir was also read, the oontents being regarded as satisfactory. Several other : reports touching; on various branches of the work in the were read "and adopted.
