SHUNTING FATALITY. Chrlstchuroh, May S. Fred Saul, aged 26, a married, man, was killed at Boaley Flat through being pinned between trucks while shunting. ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. Inveroarfiill, May 3. Thomas Bennett, aged 10 years, was accidentally shot in the forehead by a lad named Eric Mills, who was cleaning a rifle and did not lcuoiv that it contained a live cartridge. Bennett's condition is serious. A DANGEROUS ROAD. Dannevlrke, May 3. At the inquest on the body of Alfred Herbert, found dead on the roadside at 'fa Ohu Hill, Norsewood, on Saturday, a verdict of accidental death was returned, a rider being added that it was the duty of the local governing body to attend to a number of dangerous places on the road to Norsewood. The Coroner said it was a wonder that more accidents did not occur on this road. BODl' FOUND IN RIVER. Christchuroh, May 3. The body of a man was found m the Cam River, at the back of the Kaiapoi Woollen Company's premises/ at Kaiapoi, this morning. The body, which appears to have been iii th 6 water for ten days, was that of H. Hulbert, who was reported to bo missing from lis home at Clifton Street, Adaington, on April 25.
