SUMMARY AND FORECAST.. Present indications arc for moderate to strong westerly winds, increasing in and southward of Cook Strait, for an area of low pressure now passing in the south. The weather is likely to be changeable, squally in porta, with rain probable, especially in tie northern and southernmost districts and on the Western Ooast. Tho barometer is. unsteady, with a felling tendency. Fair weather ruled on Saturday and Sunday, with anti-cyclonic pressure generally. The barometer has fallen since, especially in tho south, and moderate and variable' wind* have given place to westerlies today, with rain in parte of the Otago district. D. 0. HATES.
