Owing to the position of milling operations in the locality and time of year, the board recommended that the gale take place as early as possible. Mt. R. J. Walton applied for a permit to graze about three acres of Section 19, Block VIII, Mangauui S.D. Resolved to approve of a permit being granted to occupy from year to year at a rent of 15s. per annum, subject to the usual conditions. R.. F. Beautirais applied for a lease of Crown land to south of Kakahi Township, and it was resolved to decline. R. B. Coffey applied for a lease of about 60 acres of-Crown land in Te Tuhi Block -18, and it was resolved to grant it under Section 130 of the Laud Act, 1908, for a term of five years, at a rent of Is. 6d. per atire per annum, subject to the usual ditionsi .It mctad to grant P. IV Troy having ceased occupation, of 1} acres of Crown land in Hataioa Township, behind railway station, it was lesolved to cancel his permit to occupy as on March 81, 1915. Mrs. filoirphy applied l for a permit to occupy the area of 1J acres in Materoa Township, behind railway station. It was resolved to decline her application, and to invite tenders for a lease for a term of five years at an upset rent of <£2 per annum. J. Madsen, licensee of Seotion 2, Block XVI, Manganui S.D., applid for an area of about 180 acres of Crown land adjoining his northern boundary, and it was resolved to deoline for the present. E. V. Dixon applied for a right to work metal on an area south of Owhango railwar station, between railway ana river. —Itesolved to decline. With reference to board's resolution of February 26, 1914, approving of a road being laid off through Crown land to give access to Waimarino Native Reserve, it was resolved to fix the prioe of tho land now laid off' as road at £5. Mir.' Goodall applied for a license to mill timber on Section 6, Block 2, Hunua S.D., and it was resolved to grant a license at a royalty of 6d. per 100 superficial feet off the saw, for a period of 12 months. . The Railway Department applied to transfer its license to mill timber on Sections 1, 2, Block V, Kerioi, ind Parts 6, 5, 1, and 8, Block I, Karioi S.D., to the liangataua Timber Company and it was resolved to approve subject to such conditions as the Commissioner may see fit to arrange. The Akitio County Council applied for a lease of the part of Section 28, Kakanmid V.S., with cottage thereon, recently occupied by Public Works DepartmentAdjourned for ranger's report. R. H. Seifert applied to rent this cottage for five months. It waa resolved to postpone for ranger's report. It was resolved to fix January 1, 1915, as the date on which the first annual instalment of purchase money on Section 27, Block VIII, Nukumaru, shall be payable by the licensee, D.' Campbell. ' With regard to tie temporary permit granted to E. R. Burling to occupy Sections 3 and 4, Block 11. Aohanga, and which will expire on February 29, 1916, it was resolved that the be informed that no further renewal of his permit will be granted after the expiration of the present term. The County Clerk, Eketahuna, asked if a credit balance of .£2l 14s. 2d.,- hypothecated thirds, on part Section 13, Block XIII, Mangahao, could be transferred to credit of Pakiatna County Council.—Adjourned. Messrs. G. Ivin and W. apnlied for graying on unsold sections in Hawtrav Settlement, and it was Tesolvcd to decline. F. E. Cartwright applied for a' license to cut dry timber on Crown lands north of Waimarino, and it' was resolved to decline. It was resolved to grant permission to the Agricultural Department to depasture eight maies with foals for four or five weoks on Bartholomew's Settlement.
