This order was maintained until entering the straight, when Dribble was passed by Hylami and Croesus. The three placed horses fought out the finish, Maltegarde winning by a head, half a length separating second and third. Pearlform fell, and the rider (Ashley Roid) had his skull fractured, and was taken to the hospital in an unconscious condition. Time, lmin. 2sec.
