TROTTING HORSE BOLTS. (By Telegram.—Pre^f. Chrlstohuroh, May 1. An inquest was held this afternoon into the death of Robert Barton, of Coach Corner, Riccarton, who died as the result of a collision with a van while he was driving homeward on Friday evening. The deceased was driving the trotting horse Galindo Lou, when it bolted.' A verdict was returned that the deceased was accidentally killed through the gig which he was driving colliding with an express. MOTORIST FOUND DEAD. Dannevirke, slay 1. Alfred Herbert, a well-known resident of Waipukurau, was found dead this morning near Norsewood. He was driving from Dannevirke to Waipukurau in a motor-car, and the car apparently skidded at a bend in tho road and went over a fence. Deceased had been dead about ten hours when found on the roadsido.
