There was a good'willing "go" between Thistle and Diamonds at Duppa Street on Saturday afternoon, but condition and training told in the end and th© Scotchmen left the field winners of a well-contested game by 5 goals to nil. Play during the first half was of a very even nature. Both teams gave a good exhibition of football, and when the whistle blew for half-time there was no score. It was well into the second half before Thistle managed l to get the upper hand, and still Diamonds fought on bravely. The first goal .was the result of a pretty piece of work between Walker and Edwards.. The. former put in o splendid screw shot, and Edwards timing beautifully, landed the ball square between t'he posts. A few minutes later Dick scored the second goal from a good forward' rush, liarnett was mainly responsible for the third. He centred well, and as Diamonds' goalkeeper did not clear quickly enough, Jamieson being handy carried the ball through the opening. A little later Rcid scored from a free kick, and just before the call of time Jamieson ran through and scored' on his own. Mr. Leddy was referee. CORINTHIANS—SWIFTS.
