CARNIVAL QUERN

CHILDREN'S CANDIDATE SUGGESTED. "School Committeeman" writes: — "Seeing the splendid work achieved by the children of the public schools of this City in collecting for the destitute Belgian children, I think it is only their due that they should be asked to take an active part in this carnival. To all the calls for aid to relieve suffering and distress caused by the war, the children have answered nobly, and will continue to do so, and I would suggest to the committee Jiat the children attending the public schools of the City and suburbs be requested to nominate a candidate of their own. If the carnival is to bo a success, the children must be in it, and as for getting money out of the pockets of their relatives and the general public, well, we all know!"
