SPORT AND THE WAR
. RUGBY LEAGUE TOURS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Sydney, April 29. The "Sydney Morning Herald," commenting oil the football prospects, says: "It would be well if the New South Wales Rugby "League decided to cancel inter-State and international games whilst the British nation is in the throes of a: life struggle with a powerful adversary, whose aim is world dominion. As an adjunct to health and physical fitnesß football is excellent, but th© present time is not opportune to arrange more important fixtures. In this respect the Rugby Union has set a splendid example. Its executive has taken a more serious view of the great war by cancelling all but club matches."
